Natural Lavender Leave in Conditioner

by - December 29, 2019

No matter the season, my hair always needs some extra care. Besides being naturally dry, my hair is also damaged from bleaching in the past. That's why I like using natural hair care products whenever I get the opportunity, as it's healthier for my hair, and doesn't contain harsh ingredients, that in the long run, do more harm than good. Unfortunately for me, organic hair care products are always more expensive than drugstore products. But thanks to the internet, I was able to find several different alternatives on how to make my own. With only 4 simple ingredients, I was able to create the perfect leave-in conditioner for dry hair. By making your own products from home, you'll be able to control what goes in your mixture, it takes less than 5 minutes to make, and is more affordable. Feel free to switch the ingredients of this recipe to better suit your hair. I hope you decide to give this natural leave-in spray a try, so without further ado, let's get started.

  • Glycerin: Glycerin has many benefits for the hair, it's a great moisturizer, makes the hair stronger, it promotes hair growth, and lessens the chance of obtaining split ends. Glycerin is perfect for people that struggle with dry, brittle hair (like me.)
  • Almond Oil: Just like glycerin, almond oil nourishes the hair and boosts hair growth. It leaves the hair shiny, prevents split ends, and strengthens the hair.
  • Lavender: Lavender essential oil helps to nourish dry hair, stimulates hair growth, keeps hair shiny, and eliminates dandruff.
  • Water: Water will help dilute the glycerin and water down the thickness of the products used to better serve as a leave-in conditioner.
  • 6-10 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 2 tbsp Glycerin
  • 2 tbsp Almond Oil
  • 3-4 oz of distilled water
  • 6-8 Drops Lavender Essential Oil

  1. Add the glycerin, almond oil, the drops of lavender, and water in a spray bottle.
  2. Place the cap of the bottle and shake to mix all of the ingredients together.
  3. To use it, simply spray the bottom half of your hair. Focusing on the ends of the hair.

  • Tip: Make sure to always shake the bottle before using it.
